Constructed sometime in the second decade of the 16th century, this building, called the Convent of St Francis of Assisi is located in the same complex as the Se Cathedral, Old Goa. This convent, which now houses the offices of the Bishop, formerly used to be the residence of the Franciscan 'friars'. I love this picture because it depicts Goa at its best— slanting rays of the sun bouncing of windows made of oyster shells....whitewashed walls set among greenery...sigh! Posted by Hello
